In our holiday apartments in Rein in Taufers hikers and families will find a homelike place for a farmhouse holiday. Farmer Thomas, his wife Veronika and little Tobias are a small family who passionately farm the Mooserhof where you will find cows and chickens. The farm is situated at 1,600 m above sea level in the Tauferer Ahrntal which is a valley surrounded by the majestic 3,000 m high summits of the Ries/Aurina/Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Reserve. Rural customs and tradition are actively preserved in this unspoiled countryside.
Living on a farm & vistiting alpine pastures
Mooserhof
The Mooserhof is located next to the ski run of the village and the cross-country ski tracks. During the summer season our guests can start to many rambling trails entering the alpine world of the Nature Reserve. Upon request, farmer Thomas takes his guests to the nearby Knuttenalm, the alp where his cows stay for their summer pasture and gives his guests the opportunity to watch him working with the animals.
